Our History
ALCARI 697 cc trading as U.C.L (Universal Construction and Labour cc), is a corporation that specializes in providing services to the Engineering and Industrial Sector of the economy.
UCL is a 100% BBBEE Level 1 corporation, has been built on the wealth of knowledge and experience of the founding members in the engineering field.
The core of the corporations success can be attributed to the passion, diligence, expert knowledge and perseverance of the founding members. Passion has enabled the founding members to produce and provide quality workmanship while diligence is evident in safe installations of SABS.
Accolades & Recognition
In 2012 UCL had the honor of receiving the Supplier of the Year award from SAB in recognition of excellent service and contribution to Prospecton Brewery, an accolade which is held in high esteem to us, as well as many other recognitions from other major organizations which accredit us as the best in our field. We repeated this achievement by winning Supplier of the year for the second time in 2015 from SAB.As a company who strives to give our clients the highest quality possible, we have set policies, visions and missions to which we adhere to. It is this set of regulations which UCL as an entity and professional organization live by.

Mission Statement
UCL is a corporation that seeks to provide incomparable engineering support services that utilizes state of the art equipment and technology, to the industrial sector. As a SABS (South African Bureau Standards) compliant company we strive to provide our clients with delivery of professional, competitive and reliable services. Safety, service and quality assurances are the cores values that have awarded UCL with success to-date and will continue to do so in the future.
We are committed to the transferring of skills and the promotion of employment equity in the economy - this is our contribution to alleviating unemployment.
BEE Policy
- Expand the corporation to provide opportunities that will present PDI (Previously Disadvantaged Individuals) with the option to beneflt as majority stakeholders. They will be provided with all the necessary resources at UCL'S disposal.
- If possible to utilize companies that are at a minimum 50% PDI owned.
- To simultaneously employ the services of PDI sub- contractors within the corporation and from the sector.
- Encourage and grow PDI within the corporation with the continual aid of education, training and membership.
- We actively seek competent candidates that are willing to join the UCL group.
